Guests and Visitors
are allowed at selected CLPJH events. Students must
clear any guests with the front office prior to the
event. Guests are limited to Poudre School District
students in 7th thru 9th grade or students registered
in private schools in Fort Collins who are in 7th through
9th grade. Visitors during the day must be cleared with
the office at least 48 hours prior to their potential
visit. School day visitors are limited to non-Poudre
School District students or non-CLP siblings. Visitors
may not visit prior to any major holiday or three weeks
before the end of the semesters.
Arriving at
School
Visitors should plan on arriving at school after 7:15.
Bus & Car
Transportation
All CLPJH busses drop off on the west side of the school. We ask that students arriving by car or walking enter through the front doors. Students should arrive on campus no earlier than 7:15 AM. We ask that parents help us to maintain a safe campus by dropping their students off after 7:15 AM. Students who walk to campus may not arrive before 7:15 AM. If this becomes a problem, parents will be notified to keep their students at home until they may be safely supervised. If a student must arrive earlier, parents must notify the school when and why the student is arriving earlier, as there is no supervision prior to 7:15 AM for students. Students are asked to wait in either the main or small gym until the bell that dismisses them to their lockers rings at 7:35 AM. All junior highs in PSD are closed campus, which means that once a student arrives at CLPJH they may not leave the campus. CLPE is not a part of our campus. Students are asked not to ride skateboards or their bikes on campus, nor use their roller blades once on the CLPJH campus.
When dropping a student off or picking them up, please follow the painted One-Way signs. There is not car parking during the day in the red zone along the north side of the building, nor along athletic fields to the west and south. The red zone is used exclusively for emergency vehicles and busses.
When picking up your student after school, please remain parked in the north parking lot. Busses will be parked along the red zone and have first priority when pulling out of the lot.
All students must leave the campus by 3:00 PM unless involved in a CLPJH sponsored event. If you are not able to pick your students up by this time, please make arrangements for them to be someplace else. Students who consistently remain on the campus after hours may face trespass charges. If occasionally your student must remain longer than 3:00 PM they must be either at Link Library or working with a teacher. For student safety the front doors are locked after 3:30 PM and there is not access to a phone.
