NOTICE: Before an athlete can participate in practice he/she must have a current physical signed by a physician and parent/guardian. This must be turned into the main office prior to the first day of practice. No student will be allowed to practice without a current physical. Sports physicals required for athletes grades 6–12
Sports Participation Fees
Sports participation fees are $75/sport for athletes in grades 7–8 and $100/sport for athletes in grades 9–12, with a family maximum of $300 per year. Students not enrolled in PSD school: $112.50 per sport. Students who qualify for free or reduced lunch: exempt from fee. Information: (970) 490-3106

Student athletes will need transportation home after practice. Parents can provide the transportation or students can ride the activity bus home (Monday-Thursday).

Softball for 7th and 8th grade girls will begin August 20th. Athletes should meet on the softball fields after school. Practices will be held every day after school from 2:15 - 4:30pm. All players must have a current physical on file to participate. Softball is a “no-cut” sport, and the girls will be playing two games per week. Varsity players will play on Mondays and Thursdays; Junior Varsity players will play Wednesdays and Fridays. If you have any questions, please direct them to Carla Bredehoft

All boys and girls interested in running cross country in the fall should email Ms. Berger.
Cross country is a long distance running sport and is open to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. Practice is every day beginning August 20th. Athletes will need a new pair of running shoes, shorts, a sleeveless shirt or tank top, and a water bottle. The longest race is 2.5 miles, and the shortest race is 2 miles. Come out and enjoy running! We are currently running every Wednesday morning at CLP at 9:00 a.m. Please email Ms. Berger if you do not have the current workout schedule.
Practice starts August 19th (12:15‐1:15pm) We are running right at 12:15 the first two weeks of school, and then practice will be from 2:25 to 3:35 when students go to school for a full day.

Seventh and eighth graders are eligible for CLPMS Tennis. Players of all abilities are welcome; we do not cut according to ability. Positive attitudes are required, however, in addition to responsibility, attendance, and school eligibility for grades and citizenship! We have rackets to loan. Tennis shoes required, and shorts with pockets. We will publish schedules as soon as we can.
