CLP Middle School would like to welcome our new teachers to our community!
Stephen Springsteen (Social Studies)
I am the new 6th and 7th grade geography teacher and 7th grade football coach. I am very excited to be teaching at CLP. You have an amazing middle school and its location and surroundings are incredible. I have lived and visited many states throughout the U.S.A, and Colorado is one of the most beautiful. I grew up on Long Island, New York - so I am a HUGE fan of all N.Y. sports teams. However, I also support the Colorado teams such as the Broncos, Avalanche, Rockies, Nuggets, and Rams. My favorite hobby outside of school is spending time with my son who is 16 months old. I love to listen to live symphony orchestras, and enjoy all forms of music. 2 interesting things I have done are: hiking the Na Pali coast on the island of Kauai and sailing off the coast of Fiji - both with my wife. My favorite movie of all time is Star Wars - The Empire Strikes Back. I don't have a favorite book, but I love reading historical fiction in which authors put characters into real historical events. I look forward to an awesome school year at CLP - Go Pirates!
Danielle Fennell (Language Arts)
I was born and raised in Longmont, Colorado. I moved to Fort Collins four years ago to attend Colorado State University. I love playing volleyball, going bowling, and practicing yoga in my free time. I am a big country music fan and I love attending any country concert I can. My favorite books include To Kill A Mockingbird, The Hunger Games, My Sister's Keeper, and of course the entire Harry Potter series. I love spending time outdoors in this beautiful state with family and friends on the weekends. One of my favorite quotes is " In a world where you can be anything, be yourself."
Carol Baldo (Math)
I grew up in England, and have lived in Canada and California also, but Colorado has been my home for many years now and I love it here. I am a second career teacher having worked as a software engineer, writing code for online ticketing systems. That job gave me the opportunity to travel to Sydney, Australia and to France and Germany. I am excited to be able to teach students some coding during ELO! My hobbies mostly involve the outdoors. I love to hike, bicycle and cross country ski. I also enjoy boating on the lake near my home. I like to read historical fiction. As one of the posters on my wall says: "Math = Success. Go figure!"
