Dear 5th Grade Families,
Welcome to 5th grade at Dunn IB World School! You are in for an exciting year! 5th graders are the leaders of our Primary Years Program. We think the most thrilling part of 5th grade is the participation in the Primary Years Exhibition Project! 5th graders will get to decide on a topic as a class and then take action on it! We will also focus on the following inquiries in 5th grade: Migration, Conflict and Change, Nation Building and Technological Developments. Students will also read stories and novels that connect to these topics. Intermediate students have the opportunity to participate in Student Council, Student Ambassadors, Safety Patrol, Spelling Bee, Robotics, B.E.A.T (Basics, Enrichment and Technology), Honor Choir, Japanese, Chess Club, Kids at Work, Running Club and Positive Picassos.
