Dear Parents,
Throughout the year your child will experience the wonderful things Art and Music have to offer. As an IB student, they will be inquiring into how Art and Music are important in their everyday life. In art they will be introduced to a variety of techniques and materials that will give them a better understanding and appreciation of art. They will also explore art through famous artists' work, art periods, and cultures. They will discover music through Orff instruments, recorders, singing, and creative movement. Each grade level will put together a music program to perform for family and friends. In physical education they will learn skills, games and activities that they can use for the rest of their life. They will also learn how an active lifestyle can help them live a healthy life.

In addition to Art and Music classes during the school day they can participate in a variety of fun, extra curricular programs. Art offers an after school program called Positive Picassos. They will have the opportunity to work with materials that are not always available for classroom use to create extensive individual and cooperative projects. Music offers Recorder Club during the school day and Honor Choir after school. There are several concerts for Honor Choir throughout the year.
