Assignment: Music Specialist Kindergarten through Sixth grade

I enjoy teaching because…it is rewarding to see students like and appreciate music as much as I do. I love to see the sparkle in their eyes when they create something that sounds beautiful. You can tell they have taken ownership of it and that is what keeps me inspired every day.

My favorite children's book are…Little Bear by Else Holmelund Minarik and Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein.

One of my favorite quotes is… " I think music in itself is healing. It's an explosive expression of humanity. It's something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we're from, everyone loves music." Billy Joel

My hobbies and interests include…spending time with family, scrap booking, stamping (cards), collecting frogs and other trinkets, walking my dog.

Something I really love about Dunn IB World School is…how family oriented this school is. Everyone is involved, and we all care about the school and everyone in it.
