Assignment: Half-Day Kindergarten Teacher

I enjoy teaching because... my students are caring, inquisitive thinkers who are committed to doing their best! I enjoy seeing the progress each kindergartner makes throughout the year… from recognizing a few numbers to adding numbers, from knowing letter names to sounding out words, from being new to school to being independent… there is always so much to celebrate!

My favorite children's book is... The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg.

One of my favorite quotes is…"Good and evil both increase at compound interest. That is why the little decisions you and I make every day are of such infinite importance" by C.S. Lewis

My hobbies and interests include... singing, playing the piano, reading, spending time with my husband and cats, teaching kindergarten Sunday school, playing disc golf, and walking or riding my bike on the Spring Creek trail.

Something I really love about Dunn IB World School is... how we all, children and adults alike, demonstrate our IB Attitudes and Profile. I appreciate the family of Dunn and how we work together to help each other.
