National Technical Honor Society

What is NTHS?
NTS is the acknowledged leader in the recognition of outstanding student achievement in career and technical education. Over 2000 school schools and colleges throughout the U.S. and its territories are affiliated with the Society. Member schools agree that NTHS encourages higher scholastic achievement, cultivates a desire for personal excellence, and helps top students find success in today's highly competitive workplace.


What are Requirements for NTHS?

Students must have:

• successfully completed course work in a Career Education Program
  Three Business/Marketing Classes or Two Business/Marketing plus PaCE
• 3.5 grade point average in all Career & Technical classes
• 3.1 grade point average (cumulative in their general education classes as of the end of the first semester of the senior year
• good standing in terms of attendance and behavior.

 

 

What do NTHS Members Receive?

• Membership certificate
• Pin
• Membership Card
• White/silver tassel to wear at graduation
• Official NTHS diploma seal
• Three personal letters of recommendation for employment, college admission, or scholarships
• Access to Online Career Center
  • including Monster TRAK, Wells Fargo, Career Safe and Career Key

What is the Cost?
Each student is to pay a$15.00 towards their life membership fee. The Career Education office will have a scholarship of $5.00 towards this membershisp. The $15.00 is to be paid to the designated team member at each school. Please make checks payable to Poudre School District. . If the membership fee is a financial hardship or if the student has questions, they should talk to a teacher in the Career EducationDepartment.
