SENIOR YEAR

Retake the ACT and/or the SAT depending on the colleges you are applying to. You may find that you score higher on one than the other. You will need to register on the ACT or SAT website.

JUNIOR YEAR

Take the PSAT in the fall. This it the practice SAT and it may also qualify you for the National Merit Scholarships. All juniors will take the state ACT in April-no cost or registration required. This is a good start for college testing readiness.

SOPHOMORE YEAR

 All sophomores are required to take the PLAN test in the fall of your sophomore year. There is no cost or registration required. It is the practice ACT and given at your school. It will give you a good baseline for how you may do on the ACT.

FRESHMAN YEAR

 All freshmen are required to take the EXPLORE test in the fall of your freshmen year. There is no cost or registration required. The EXPLORE program is designed to help 9th graders explore a broad range of options for their future. EXPLORE prepares students not only for their high school coursework, but for their post–high school choices as well. It marks an important beginning for a student's future academic and career success.
