) School Improvement Team (SIT)
School Improvement team (SIT) is an organization of teachers, administrators, parents, students, and community members. Its focus is to improve the learning environment of Fossil Ridge High School. The team will meet from Setpember to April on the Mondays listed below during the 2007-08 school year at 6:00pm in the admininstrative conference room. SIT will discuss and vote on Course offerings, Policies, Achievement Reports and Budget approval. Other areas of discussion will be added as the decisions matrix is refined.

April 14, 2008
Boundaries:
Kellie Nuber reported to the group on the two choices for boundary changes. The details can be found on the PSD website. The committee balanced the numbers with their principles and out of that work came options A1 and B1. The committee’s work goes on to the Cabinet and then a decision will be made by Dr. Wilson in May.
FRHS concerns: 5A/4A Athletics, safety of students and equity of opportunity for all students in PSD. Option A1 provides the best hope of that.
Site Readiness Plan:
The plan was reviewed and approved. Discussion around closed campus and lunch were key points for the plan. PSD needs to assist in providing a lunch program that will keep kids on campus.
Dr. Wilson’s Visit to FRHS on April 28, 2008:
The following needs to be shared with him: praise for curriculum offerings including Economics and AP offerings, Service Learning, Civic Engagement and letters from parents to Dr. Wilson reflecting the parent’s viewpoints.
2008-2009 SIT
Need new freshman and sophomore representation. Replace Ray Peters who is moving.

Meetings during the 2008-2009 year: 1 in August; 2 in September, 1 in October and then once during 3rd and 4 th quarters. Monday evenings at 6 pm. Exact dates to follow.
We appreciate that the PAB has joined SIT for the last two meetings. The next PAB meeting is May 12 th at 7 pm.
