Kinard School Choice
Process for 2008-2009

All School Choice Applications need to be returned to the Kinard office on or before January 30, 2009. Kinard’s Counseling fax number is (970) 488-5433 or mail to: Kinard Junior High School, 3002 E. Trilby Road, Fort Collins, CO 80528.

1. According to the approved Board of Education School Choice policy, the students at Zach, Traut, O’Dea and Moore Core Knowledge Elementary Schools have first priority in enrollment at Kinard.
   
   
2. Only new incoming 7th, 8th and 9th grades need to apply for School Choice placement into Kinard.
   
   
3. Present 6th grade students at Kinard wanting to attend Kinard as a 7th grader must complete a School Choice application.
   
   
4. Current 5th graders at Zach Elementary only, will be automatically transferred to Kinard as 6th graders. Kinard does not accept any School Choice applications for 6th grade.
   
   
5. In-District & Out-of-District waiting list will be generated.
