This will be Jacob’s fifth year working at Kinard and his fourth year in the P.E. department. He has enjoyed incorporating his interest in health and nutrition, his experience as an athlete, and his passion for working with youth into his teaching. Jacob grew up in Glenwood Springs, Colorado and enjoyed competing in basketball, soccer, football, and track throughout high school. He spent four years of college at CSU on a Track and Field Scholarship where he was able to travel around the US competing in the High, Long and Triple Jump. He continues his love for the sport by coaching Track and Field as well as boys basketball at Kinard. His wife Amanda is also a teacher, and teaches 4th grade in the Loveland School District. They have been happily married now for four years. Fishing, biking, hiking, rafting, four wheeling, snowmobiling, and almost anything outdoors are activities he enjoys filling his free time with, especially if they are with his two-year-old Golden Retriever, Jack. He really enjoys living here in Fort Collins. |
