| Literacy
is integrated across the curriculum.
Small class sizes of 15, and small school community maximize learning opportunities. Narrative reports, goal-setting conferences, and learning portfolios provide ongoing communication between parent, child and teacher. School-wide community is strengthened through regular "Community Meetings." Two times each week, the entire school community gathers together for greetings and special presentations related to the current theme. Multi-age classrooms encourage differentiated learning. Service learning promotes a connection between students and the world. Enrichment classes and field trips enhance student learning. Student reflection facilitates meaningful learning. |
