Odyssey of the Mind

Odyssey of the Mind is one of the wonderful options offered at Laurel Elementary School for those students who love creative problem solving challenges. It is an opportunity for students to work in teams to solve a problem that may involve technical, creative, and/or literary challenges. They work on this problem for several months before attending the grand competetion at Fossil Ridge High School. The competetion showcases teams from all over Fort Collins. In past years, Laurel teams have done very well. At the 2007 Competition our 6th Grade team placed FIRST! Congratulations!

We hope that you will encourage your child to stretch themselves. Please look for registration forms coming home in October.
