Student Artwork Showcased

Martin Rios-Banuelos, 7th grader, has received an honorable mention for his drawing "Patterned Portrait". He was among 3,000 middle and high school students who entered art from all over Colorado. Out of the 3,000 work submitted only 500 pieces of art were selected to be shown at the Scholastic Art Exhibition at Rocky Mountain College of Art and design for the month of January.

8th grader, Lily Troup, had her artwork "Shoe Design" selected to be displayed in the SuperArt! exhibition. SuperArt! is an annual program to honor student artwork in Poudre School District. Each teacher at all grade levels selects artwork to be displayed at PSD’s administration building through out the year for staff and community to enjoy.

Choir Students Honored

Several students have been recently recognized for their outstanding choir abilities. Sixth grader, Cole Joseph, and seventh grader, Blake McClure, were selected to sing Auld Lang Syne at the Fort Collins Wind Symphony holiday performance.

Rose Van Dyne and Anne Lonowski auditioned and were accepted as members of the American Choral Director's Association Honor Choir.  It is really a great honor for these girls to be a part of this convention which occurs in late February.
