Student Services (Counseling and Guidance) is for all students. Our purpose is to ensure that each student has the opportunity to show progress at Lincoln Junior High. We promote achieving the following goals:
  1. To adjust to social and gender roles and new responsibilities.
  2. To understand and develop positive and realistic self-concepts.
  3. To learn to cooperate and communicate with others.
  4. To develop and improve study/organizational skills and independent learning.
  5. To understand academic strengths and needs.
  6. To interpret and apply information relevant to short and long term educational planning.
  7. To understand the relationship between academics, interests, strengths and needs as they relate to occupational opportunities.
  8. To understand, appreciate and respect the rights of others.
  9. To develop and improve skills for effective problem-solving, with emphasis on negotiation and mediation.
  10. To develop and improve positive coping skills.
  11. The Student Services staff at Lincoln Junior High believes that parents are an essential component in the attainment of the goals listed above.

We cannot progress alone – we need your help. Please work with us as we attempt to meet the educational goals for your student.
