Model United Nations is a club designed to provide students with first hand knowledge of the United Nations through simulations of the General Assembly, ECOSOC, and the Security Council. Students represent countries in the UN as accurately as possible with emphasis on dealing with individual and current world issues. Model UN is for any PHS student interested in international affairs or politics and is a great chance to interact with motivated students from other schools as well as representatives from the actual UN. Students attend MUN conferences (usually one per semester) throughout the state. Club meetings are on an "as needed" basis. When they do meet, it is held in the mornings before school. Conferences are held on the weekends.
