Trevor Cavanagh was born and raised in South Florida. After high school he joined the U.S. Marine Corp. He moved to Colorado in 1994 and attended CSU where he received a degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a minor in Philosophy. While attending school he worked as a pre-school teacher and Hospice volunteer.
Relocating to Evergreen after graduation, he worked at Evergreen High School for two years while completing a master's degree in Educational Counseling at the University of Phoenix in Denver. Married with a child, he moved back to Fort Collins in 2004 for its family friendly community and excellent Poudre schools.
He likes to travel, play jazz guitar, golf, and spend time with his family (pets included). He sees himself as an advocate for youth, helping young people to achieve their fullest potential, and aspire to live their dreams.
