In the Poudre High School Catering Program
The students study food in today's society while learning to plan and prepare gourmet specialty foods. These experiences include study and research of various cultures around the world and preperations of food from these cultures. Throughout the curriculum the students will practice food safty and sanitation skills. They plan menus based on standardized recipies to meet the consumers needs. The course content includes preparation for all menu catagories to produce a variety of food products. The students learn how to manage and work in a catering environment and gain knowledge of both the foods and market they are sold and bought in..
