The Alternative Cooperative Education (ACE) program is a vocational program offered in Poudre School District. It provides work experience, related class instruction and transition planning for high school students with special needs. ACE provides an opportunity for Poudre High School students with special needs to gain firsthand community work experiences with businesses, professionals and agencies in the Fort Collins area.These placements provide career-related opportunities and enhance a student's career and academic plan.With local business support, students gain an excellent hands-on educational experience as well as become equipped with essential skills needed to earn a living.Thus it develops personal and career skills that prepare students to live and work independently as vital, contributing members of their community.
