RIVER OF WORDS WRITING CONTEST

River of Words is a free international poetry and art contest for youth, sponsored by the Colorado Humanities and Center for the Book.

This year’s contest theme is WATERSHEDS and all Colorado middle school students are eligible to participate by submitting your poem or art work. We all recognize the beauty of Colorado’s water streams, and now is your chance to write about them!

State and national prizes will be awarded.

The deadline is Tuesday, November 24, 2009, just before the Thanksgiving break. Be sure to deliver your entry to Mrs. Laub, the writing coach, before you leave for Thanksgiving!

See Mrs. Laub up in the media center and bring her your questions. She will be happy to “coach” you on your entry if you would like.
