Ms. Wells is proud to begin another year as orchestra director at Rocky Mountain High School. She feels honored to have had the opportunity to teach orchestra students in four junior high schools and two high schools in Poudre School District for the last 18 years. She is a graduate of the Lamont School of Music, University of Denver, where she received a Bachelor of Music Education degree.

Ms. Wells’ orchestras have been selected to perform for the Colorado Music Educators’ Clinic/Conference six times since 1998. In February 2008 the RMHS Chamber Orchestra will travel to Albuquerque, NM to perform in the National Orchestra Festival. Ms. Wells is a current member in the 'cello section of the Fort Collins Symphony and the Greeley Philharmonic Orchestras. She is the cellist for the String Quartet Con Brio.

Ms. Wells has two sons, Ryan and Tyler, who were active in the RMHS music department from 2000-2003. She is married to Tom Bittinger, bassoonist with the Fort Collins Symphony and the Cheyenne Symphony. He currently teaches orchestra at Boltz and Preston Junior High School in Fort Collins.
