Paul Falk is in his second year at Rocky Mountain High School after joining the Music Department in April of 2007. Before Rocky Mountain HS, Paul earned a Masters in Music with an emphasis in Jazz/Commercial Music Degree from Chicago College of the Performing Arts at Roosevelt University. He earned his Bachelor of Music in Choral Music Education Degree from the University of Northern Colorado under Dr. Galen Darrough. At CCPA-Roosevelt he was a member of the Downbeat Award winning group New Deal, arranged, accompanied and ran live sound for all concerts. Paul served as Assistant Director of Musical Organizations at Purdue University from 2004-2006, played keyboard in numerous Musical Theater pits in Colorado, Chicago, and Indiana. Paul also was Vocal Percussionist for Groove Society. He recorded as a background vocalist with his mentor, Patricia Barber, on her Blue Note release Mythologies. Paul is Director of The Rocky Mountain Vocal Jazz Camp, accompanist for Broadway Comes to Denver and Making it on Broadway Workshops, and is an active arranger, accompanist and clinician at many festivals and workshops across the country.
