National Honor Society
NHS is an organization at Rocky that recognizes academic excellence.
Through certain coursework requirements and
grade point averages, individuals are inducted into this prestigious
society. This exceptional group of Juniors and
Seniors works together to exemplify the Four Pillars of the NHS
organization: Service, Leadership, Scholarship, and
Character. During meetings every month through the school year,
NHS members will learn more about these pillars and
will be given the opportunity to utilize them in sponsored service
projects. To be inducted as a junior, students
must have completed 180 credits by the end of their 1st semester.
If this is not accomplished, then by the end of
the 2nd semester of the junior year students must have completed
220 credits to be inducted as a senior. See Mrs.
Otteman-Freeman, Mr. Avery or Ms. Kelly for additional information.
