River Watch
In River Watch we monitor local water quality in Spring Creek and the Poudre River. The monitoring is done once a month, including during the summer. We don waders to do our collecting, then run water quality tests back at Rocky. Interested students from any grade level may join us at any time. We guarantee all "first timers" get in the water. If you enjoy hands on science that makes a difference for the environment, come do River Watch! All of the data we collect actually becomes part of a statewide water quality database. In addition to testing water, River Watchers have been known to engage in wader races, water fights, rock skipping contests and wildlife watching!
