Athletes in good standing at Rocky Mountain High School also have the opportunity to earn a variety of academic awards throughout the school year. These recognition programs reward those students who combine academic achievement with success in athletics. The awards and their respective criteria are:

ACADEMIC ALL-CONFERENCE

Winners of the Academic All-Conference Certificate must letter in his or her sport and have earned a minimum of 3.5 GPA the previous semester. This award is only available to girls' golf and football players who compete in the Front Range League. The Northern Conference does not incorporate this award.

ACADEMIC ALL-STATE

Academic All-State recipients must have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.6 (first team) or 3.3 (honorable mention), be a junior or senior, and must have lettered in his or her sport.

HONOR ATHLETES

Rocky Mountain High School Honor Athletes must complete a minimum of two athletic seasons in good standing and achieve a minimum 3.2 cumulative GPA at the end of the third term or 5th hexter of the current year.

TROXELL AWARD & LOBO AWARDS

A candidate for the Troxell and Lobo Awards must meet the following criteria:

1. Must be a graduating senior who has achieved distinction as a team member in one or more sports.
2. Must have been a team member in at least one sport (not necessarily the same sport) during his/her sophomore, junior, and senior years in high school in the Poudre School District.
3. Must be recognized as a good citizen in his/her school and community.
4. Must have cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher. Preference is given to students eligible under criteria 1, 2, and 3 whose GPA's are higher.

Troxell and Lobo Award winners are determined by voting by head coaches and administrators from among eligible student/athletes. The awards are sponsored by the Parents' Athletic Club.

COACHES' AWARD

Outstanding Senior Athletes - Male & Female. Selected by a vote of the head coaches. Presented at the Awards Convocation.
