Campus

There are many features of Tavelli Elementary that make it unique. Tiger World is an exceptional part of our playground we built as a community. Next to Tiger World is a large class-sized gazebo. The gazebo is a memorial to former Tavelli student Amy Wedding. Another part of our playground contains Project FIT equipment. Next to the Bath Nature Area is a grass amphitheater that comfortably seats more than 500 people.

Tavelli maintains a weather station. Tavelli is one of the few elementary schools in PSD to have a wooden gym floor. Our building was placed on the WAN in 1993-1994 and currently has a T1 connection. Along with the computers in the two classroom labs and those in the Long Media Center, every classroom at Tavelli has at least one Macintosh G3 and one Compaq Evo Windows Desktop computer. Both of these are computers are connected to the Internet. The predominant workstation platform is Macintosh. There are several Win/Tel computers on site as well. Our server supports both platforms. Student computer work is saved on the server.

To search search the library catalog from off-campus, select Tavelli from the "View Entire Collection" menu after conducting an initial search in PSD Libraries.

The front range community of Fort Collins is located 65 miles north of Denver on the Colorado plains near the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Tavelli is at the north end of Fort Collins and about 80 minutes from Denver International Airport. The Chamber of Commerce has more information regarding the city of Fort Collins.

  4. In less than a mile, turn left at County Highway 50. Go one block and turn left at the stop sign in front of the Fort Collins Country Club. As well as being known as County Highway 50, this portion of the road is referred to as Country Club Road.

  5. Follow this road going west as it winds around a small lake.

  6. Turn left at the first stop sign (a four-way) to now travel south. This is North Lemay Avenue and Gregory Road (if one turned right).
