Kris Clagett calls the meeting to order. Passed the sign in
sheet around.
Approval of Minutes--March motion made by Jane Spomer
and 2nd by Kris Clagett
April minutes were approved except for the
part about the weather station fees. Will look in last year minutes and see if
there is anything approved for the weather station license fee. Tavelli PTO
Meeting Minutes
Treasure Report- Dawn Dorsch let us know who would be taking treasure
place next year will be Crystal Long. There has been no deposit on the
spiritwear. We have agreed to have the Little Shop of Physic back for next year
cost is $125.00. January works the best time.
There will be 27 classes for the year of 2006-2007. We need to have a
big fall fundraiser.

Committee Reports:

Book Fair –We do not have any numbers on what
amount was made. Normally this is break even.

Wellness Fair- Amanda reports that it was a lot of
fun. The feed back that was heard that everybody seam to have had a good time
Combining it with the book fair work out really well. Wellness fair made
$500.00. This was a model event for other Schools. The District has talk about
Wellness fair in month meeting.

Spirit Wear- Immy got some orders at the
Wellness Fair. This will be the 2nd order that is being placed. We
have no deposit has of this time. Immy will also be doing the T-Shirts for next
year. Will also do a sale on T-Shirts at Christmas time it has been done in the
pass.

Family Fun Night Fort Fun—will be held on May 3rd from 5:30 to
8:30. There keep the first $200.00 and we keep anything after that. Send flyer
home in Thursday notes and advised everyone at the wellness fair.

Open Position for 2006-2007—Lisa Olsen will take over the fall
fundraiser. Crystal Long will be Treasurer. Trying to find out the best way to
get volunteers. Nomination of people for the positions. Talking with the
teachers and see if they have any suggestions. Doing individual phones and face
to face talking with people.
Dr Lawler and Mr. Camp went to
seminary. They were talking about 21 keys for teaching and learning. First
apart of it was to look at the aspect of themselves. Speak to self. The four
things, to look at. Watch what we say to needs. They may say things that under
mining are kids and not even know about it.
Special Guest:
Title 1- Sally said they are working
more with the 1st grades. There main focus is on k – 1st.
They also have small group for math. There is total of 72 students they are
helping. There are 4 title 1 teachers. Then do testing at the beginning of the
year and at the end of the year to see how much the students have gain. They
set goals for student and have the parent help with these goals. They have some
money for the summer for to help with those students that are in title 1.
The district has a new reading
assessment test that they will be implementing next year.
