Thanks, Linda Payton, Librarian.

CAPS 4 CASH-- Earn money for Tavelli just by
recycling bottle caps from Morning Fresh Dairy bottles and turning them in to
the school! Each cap from milk, lemonade or other bottles can be redeemed
for 5 cents. Friends and family that do not go to Tavelli can go online
to morningfreshdairy.com to learn how to donate that way too! Start
collecting and saving over summer to earn your class a
brilliant surprise next school year. Got milk? ![]()
9. Safe Routes to School!
-- Across the City we have seen great turnouts of families walking,
biking and skating through the Safe Routes to School Program and the Fit for
Life campaign. Please note that next Wednesday, May 14th, is the last

Routes to School punch pass into the front office during the week of May

Fifth Grade Parents -- In keeping with Tavelli tradition, we are looking for a few 5th
grade parents to serve refreshments after the 6th grade ceremony,
Friday, May 30 from approximately 9:30-11:30 a.m. If you can help please
contact Wendy Hanrahan at (970) 484-0952 or wendyhan#6@msn.com; or Melanie

12. Attention future parents
of 3rd or 5th grade students! --Will your child be in third or fifth grade
next fall? Due to the overwhelming
support we received from parents this year, 3rd and 5th
grade teachers are asking parents for money to purchase school supplies next
year for their child, $20 for 3rd graders, and $25
for 5th graders. This money will
cover all of the supplies needed for the 2008-2009 school year!
Each grade level has an account that the money will
be deposited into. Parents will need
to make checks out to Tavelli and the funds will be deposited into the
proper account. Send a check with your
child to school in an envelope and their teacher will send it to the office to
be deposited into either the 3rd or 5th grade
account. Please make sure your child’s
name and what grade level they will be in next year is on the envelope. For
parents who would rather wait until school starts: Simply send a check the
first day of school. Of course, cash is
also accepted. A note will be sent home reassuring you that we have received
your check. Thank you from your 3rd and 5th grade
teachers!

1. Use Your Albertson’s Card – The PTO would like to pass on
a reminder to you to use your Albertson’s card when you are shopping. We are
experiencing a shortage of funds for several of our school functions, like
school t-shirts and the Dream Team program. You can help us by using your
Albertson’s card. At this time last year, we earned $1,500, but we have
collected only $150 this year to date. Please do what you can to help Tavelli
raise the funds necessary to continue to support our great activities and
programs. Your support is greatly appreciated! ![]()
2. May PTO Meeting-Make tracks to the Tavelli
Media Center on Tuesday May 13th at 7:00 p.m. –This would be a great time to
come and hear what’s going on in the 5th grade and special education
classrooms. The teachers will be on hand to share what they are doing and to
answer any questions! We love to see new faces and hear new ideas. See you
there!
