Kids Club!

As we embark on this wellness focus at Tavelli we are indebted to our friends at Healthy Kids Club.  If you have a student who is just starting their school experience at Tavelli, or you have been with us for years, you will know the Healthy Kids Club experience.

Programs Healthy Kids Club has supported in the past:

· Funding for the Project Fit fitness center
    · Tiger fit recess activity incentive programs – 3 years
    · Tavelli Duathlon – 4 years
    · Project Fit – 3 years
    · Bi-weekly kindergarten health lessons
    · Development our new “Academics, Character, Wellness” logo
    · Schools on the move Challenge
    · Monthly “Healthy Kids News”

Programs they are currently involved in:

· Project Fit weekly fitness program for all 5th and 6th grade classes

· Bi-weekly kindergarten health lessons throughout the school year

· “Kids on the Move” fitness decks for classroom teachers

· Monthly health bulletin boards for classroom use

· Sponsors for our yearly duathlon.

· Running and Walking Club

· Schools on the Move Challenge
