My name is Becky. I created the page about the Swetsville Zoo when I was in the sixth grade as part of a final choice class. I chose to do my web page on the Swetsville Zoo because for one thing, my mom knew the person who built it, Bill Swets. I was very interested in the strange sculptures and wanted to learn the story behind them. For a resource, I used a book about the history of Timnath. I learned about the zoo even more when I met and interviewed Bill Swets.
Although I was nervous at first about having to go interview Bill Swets, I soon found out that it wasn't going to be all that hard. Mr. Swets has a warm smile that made me feel more comfortable to be around him. He is a very nice person.
I would like to thank Mr. Bill Swets for taking time for the interview. I also want to thank our teacher, Mrs. Durkin, for helping us edit our articles and put them on the web. Thank you!
I liked doing the whole project so I don't have a favorite part of the project.
