1999 National School of Character Award

 

TCKS's Character Education program received a 1999 National School of Character Award sponsored by the Character Education Partnership.  The school was one of 25 nationwide semi-finalists. From the press release:

 

Ten schools and a district selected nationwide were named today as the 1999 National Schools of Character in recognition of their outstanding work to encourage the social, ethical, and academic development of their students through character education.  The recipients received this national honor because they are creating safe, caring schools that promote learning by integrating character education into their curriculum, extra curricular activities, and overall culture.
