States History: This course is an overview of United States
History with strong emphasis on civics, economics and civil rights.
The four major focus areas include Exploration and Settlement, Development
of Constitutional America, The Expanding Nation - economic growth
and development of the U.S., and U.S. Comes of Age in the 20th century.

AP United States History: The Pre-AP United States History course
will teach students how to organize and to analyze historical information.
This course requires extensive reading, writing, research and participation.
The course content includes the following units: Exploration and
Settlement, Development of Constitutional America, The
Expanding Nation and U.S. Comes of Age in the 20"" century.
This course is intended to prepare students to take the Advanced
Placement U.S. History course in high school as well as the AP U.S.
Government and Politics course.
