6710 Biology:
This is an introductory course that is standards based. Embedded
in this course are Colorado Science Standards 1, 3, 5, and 6. It
is designed to help students understand their living world. The
class uses extensive laboratories to supplement lecture/reading
activities. The class is a pre-requisite to more advanced courses
in biology. This course may be used to satisfy part of graduation
requirements.
6709 Pre
AP Biology: This course utilizes the same curriculum and Biology
but with a greater emphasis on higher level thinking skills. Material
will be taught in greater depth and at an accelerated pace.
6720 Introduction
to Chemistry. Physics and Earth Science (Algebra based): This
course is a standards based introductory physical science course.
The three areas of study are Chemistry, Physics, and Earth Science.
It is recommended that this course be taken in grade 9 or 10. It
may be used to satisfy part of the graduation requirements. It will
not fulfill college entrance requirements for a full year of chemistry
or a full year of physics. Students must have completed Integrated
I or be taking it concurrently.
